Basic Horse Lines

Description

Not sure if anyone is interested, but here's the basic layout of how I draw a horse, whether it is referenced or not. Say hello to our pretty grullo test subject!

:bulletred: - Red lines, follow basic skeletal structure. Circles for knees/hocks, ankles, top of skull, and nose. Angled lines for hip and shoulders, ears typically align straight along neck to shoulder/mid collar (even including turned heads). Horizontal line just reminds me that the hocks are higher than the knees.

:bulletyellow: - Reminds me that the cannon bones are aligned with the thigh, and that the barrel should not extend overly much below the elbow or gaskin.

:bulletblue: - General shapes for barrel and neck. And nose.

:bulletgreen: - Curvy neck reminds me how the muscles lay, rough shapes of how the shoulders and quarters should be, generally I just use circles.

:bulletorange: - Hoof to stifle and hoof to elbow is generally the same length as withers to top of croup. Poll to nose is roughly the same length as throat latch to where the neck meets the chest.
